Unknown persons simply moved the town sign in Steinhaus

Because the speed limit in front of a playground on the adjacent state road is 100 km/h, parents fear for their children.

During the night of Friday, unknown persons moved a town sign in Steinhaus and put up a poster saying: “For our children, just do it”. The reason for this is that a playground borders a state road where the speed limit is 100 km/h and parents fear for their children’s safety. Moving the town sign would mean a speed limit of 50 km/h would apply.

Several times in the municipal council

The topic has already been discussed several times in the local council. “For months I have been suggesting that the town sign be moved by around 70 meters so that the newly built housing development on Bussardstrasse and the playground are no longer in the 100 km/h zone,” says VP local councilor Bernhard Aichinger. The local council has been discussing this for ages, and the whole thing is also on the agenda. Now citizens have given an impetus to get things moving.
