A tanker truck carrying gas exploded in Brazil while traveling on the BR-010 highway, between the municipalities of Paragominas and Ulianópolis, in the southeastern area of ​​Pará. For the moment only Six people were injured and were transferred to the Emergency Care Unit (UPA).

The accident occurred on a stretch known for heavy vehicle traffic. Although the exact causes are unknown, the truck It started to catch fire and ended in an explosion.

The injured people turned out to be three journalists from the local branch of the SBT television channel and three firefighters who came to control the flames. One of the drivers filmed a video of the exact moment of the explosion.

The journalists suffered burns second grade and were transferred to the Emergency Care Unit (UPA) of Paragominas, are in a stable state. On the other hand, the firefighters suffered burns first grade due to the protection and assistance of the teams.

The truck was completely destroyed and local authorities reported that “firefighters were called and the flames were brought under control.” Civil Police of Paragominas is investigating the causes of the accident.
