The man and his 55-year-old stepfather from the Vöcklabruck district were on their motorcycle ride on the L517 towards Peuerbach. Shortly after the Neukirchen am Walde bypass, they caught up with two cars. As they started to overtake, they noticed that the car in front was signaling left.
The 38-year-old braked a little too hard and fell headfirst onto the road. The seriously injured man was flown to Wels Hospital by rescue helicopter. The 55-year-old and his wife, who was riding pillion, were uninjured.
