Eight euros per day: Parking fees at Langbathsee and Offensee delayed

The parking machines at Langbathsee and Offensee are still out of service

In the future, a day at Langbath and Offensee will cost eight euros. However, this only applies if you arrive by car. There will also be hourly tickets for those who are just looking for a quick refreshment or want to stretch their legs.

The parking machines are already ready, but are not yet in operation. The municipality of Ebensee still has to wait until Langbathsee and Offenseestrasse are officially no longer state roads. “Only then can we incorporate them as municipal roads,” says Ebensee’s mayor Sabine Promberger (SP). And only then will it be possible to start managing parking spaces. Agreement with the state has been in place for some time, but the planned implementation has been delayed. The planned date of July 1 was not met.

Because the implementation requires another council resolution and the next meeting is not scheduled until September 26, there will probably be no costs for motorized excursionists this summer. As reported, the municipality of Gosau is also working intensively on parking space management. State roads are also to be converted into municipal roads for this purpose. A parking fee of five euros per day has been in effect at the Almsee since the end of May.
