What did Uruguayans ask artificial intelligence the most about politics before the internal elections?

The Politea app, presented as “a chatbot” for democracy, answered thousands of queries in the week before the internal elections. Security, economy and the Colorado candidate Andres Ojeda were the most sought after.

There were 7,116 consultations in the month of June, 62% in the week before the internal elections, according to a report accessed by Ambit.

The main thematic queries revolved around security, economy and social policies, in that order. 7% were about laws Uruguay and other various topics.

Regarding the pre-candidates, the one about whom the app received the greatest number of queries was Andrés Ojeda, who finally triumphed in the internal elections of the Colorado Party. They followed Carolina Cosse and Robert Silva.

Politea pointed out that the number of queries obtained was approximately five times higher than the average samples used by pollsters to measure voting intention for the internal elections.

Among the proposals of the different parties for the internal elections that took place on Sunday, June 30, these were the main categories (in order of cases): first economic, specifically proposals on taxesincrease in GDP and creation of jobs.

Politea assured that in the coming weeks a new updated version will be published with the candidates who will compete in the general elections and improvements applied based on suggestions received by its developers.
