Heavy rainfall: floods and landslides in Upper Styria

In Traboch (Liezen district), according to the Styrian State Warning Center, the dam of Lake Traboch threatened to burst. According to ORF radio Ö3, the all-clear has now been given and water levels are expected to fall again. In addition, around 20 households have been evacuated, Ö3 reported. No one was injured, it was reported.

According to the website of the state warning center, there were massive floods and landslides in Mautern (Liezen district). There were also floods in Thörl (Bruck an der Mur district) due to the heavy rainfall. The people of the three communities were therefore asked to stay at home, go to higher ground and avoid cellars and underground garages.
