For 90 years, the Regent Pflugbabrik in Attnang-Puchheim developed, produced and sold agricultural technology. But last November, the traditional company had to file for bankruptcy. According to management, this was a consequence of the corona crisis. There were problems in the supply chains and with personnel. The result was a production backlog and long delivery times. Most recently, 59 employees were employed at the factory.
The insolvency administrator has now commissioned the auction. On August 13th from 8 a.m., around 5,000 items can be auctioned in the 40,000 square meter production hall. Not only the various Regent brand plows, cultivators and harrows will go under the hammer, but also the production facilities themselves: for example, the forge furnace from the company’s own forge, CNC machining centers, machine tools, a laser cutting system with a 70 square meter installation area, welding equipment, painting systems, bending machines, various presses and much more.
But there are also a lot of things for the workshop at home – whether vices, work gloves or transport boxes – to be found in the auctions. The office equipment of the company headquarters with furniture, smartphones, houseplants and decorative objects, as well as work clothes and T-shirts in the “Regent” design will also go under the hammer.
The knockdowns will take place on August 13th from 8:00 a.m., and bids can already be submitted online. The exhibits can be viewed on site at the company’s location on August 12th from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. The auctions are being conducted by the Austrian auction house Aurena.
