STEYR. SK BMD Vorwärts Steyr is back in full swing: In Schwertberg, they made a perfect start with a 4-1 victory over the regional league team in the OÖ Cup. New signing Alexander Weinstabl pushed a pass from Pepe Brekner over the goal line in the first minute to give them a lightning-fast 1-0 lead. Four minutes later, Oliver Filip only hit the post, but 25 and 40 minutes later he found the net. The 3-0 lead at half-time did not stay that way – in the second half, coach Markus Eitl’s team had everything under control and once again knocked the Schwertberg goal down. Michael Oberwinkler scored Steyr’s fourth goal. Conclusion: A lot of things came together in the team’s first match where something was at stake.
