The rescue helicopter was deployed in the town of Rödham on Tuesday afternoon: A moped driver (18) had to be taken to Ried Hospital after she collided with a car on Kallhamer Straße. At the wheel of the car was a 16-year-old from the Schärding district, who was on her way from Altschwendet towards Raab as part of an L17 training trip.
There was a head-on collision with the oncoming two-wheeler in a bend. The impact was so violent that the moped driver was thrown over the hood of the car and ended up lying on the roof of the car. She was treated by an emergency doctor and then flown to the hospital, police said on Tuesday evening.
