The “Perg Wirtschaft bewegt” association has undergone a generational change that is also linked to a new direction in terms of content: At its general meeting in the Mitterlehner Südstadtwirt inn, Viktoria Steinkellner and Stefan Neugschwandtner stood for election with a newly composed team. This resulted in a unanimous vote for the new board.
Duo at the top of the club
The Perger business community will be headed by the chairmen Viktoria Steinkellner (Bogart) and Stefan Neugschwandtner (photography, graphics). Lukas Keplinger and his deputy Peter-Michael Brandl Kapplmüller will be responsible for the secretarial work. Matthäus Wimmer will be the treasurer, and Andreas Pfeiffer will be his deputy.
The change in the top management of the association has been co-designed and supported by the previous board since last year. This, it was stressed, will ensure cohesion within the business association for the coming term of office. Chairman Alfred Ebenhofer and secretary Herbert Strasser from the previous board congratulated the newly formed team.
Association statutes changed
The association members also agreed on a change to the statutes. They no longer want to see themselves as just an entrepreneurial initiative for the city of Perg. From now on, the Perg Business Association is a platform for all owner-managed companies in the district. This new direction was also unanimously approved by the general assembly.
“We are now inviting partners to jointly implement projects for growing companies and motivated employees,” said the new chairman Stefan Neugschwandtner in his inaugural speech. The new chairwoman Viktoria Steinkellner said of the change in the association’s statutes: “Our goal is to strengthen the economic region as a whole. That’s why we are thinking beyond the borders of the district capital. We want to show what diverse opportunities our city and our region offer for companies and residents.”
Trade fairs and city marketing
The association was founded in 1981 as the Perg Advertising and Exhibition Association and was renamed in the mid-2010s. Advertising measures, events (including the former Machland trade fairs) and the purchase of Christmas lights were the association’s main achievements until the end of the 1990s. From 1999, operational activities were transferred to Perg City Marketing. The PERG Wirtschaft bewegt association, together with the city of Perg, is also the sponsoring organization of Perg City Marketing. The association contributes to this by providing ideas and supporting economically oriented projects.
