The 29-year-old is expected to stabilize Linz’s defense and, above all, create a lot of momentum towards the goal when playing in the majority and building up play. Scheid began the past season with HC Slovan Bratislava in the Slovakian Extraliga. After four assists in 15 games, the right-handed shooter moved to the Nuremberg ICE Tigers. In 28 DEL games, Scheid scored four goals and provided eight assists.

Piquant: Scheid already knows the Black Wings from last year: In Slovan Bratislava’s 3-1 friendly win against the Black Wings on August 11, 2023, Scheid played in the first pair of defenders alongside ex-Linz player Matt Murphy.
