Adele thrilled 73,000 fans at mega show in Munich

The 36-year-old opened the show with “Hello,” and another huge hit – “Rolling in the Deep” – ended the more than two-hour pop spectacle. The powerful-voiced singer was accompanied by an orchestra during the Bond song “Skyfall” and “Set Fire to the Rain,” among others. During the latter song, huge flames shot into the night sky.

At the first of ten performances in the arena built especially for the British superstar, including the associated festival, everything went smoothly except for a downpour immediately before the concert. The weather meant a slightly delayed start and a “wardrobe change” for the Brit, who appeared in a Dior dress with a meter-long train. Because the train had become too heavy due to the rain, Adele had the train removed before the second song (“Rumour Has It”). The Bob Dylan cover “Make You Feel My Love” was also not missing from the program, as was – surprisingly – “Chasing Pavements”, which Adele has not performed live since 2017. The fans were enthusiastic about the star, the new concept and also the perfect sound. Confetti rained down twice, and there was also a fireworks display at the end.
