The Río Tercero Prosecutor’s Office ordered the arrest of a man accused of the crime of aggravated negligent arson in Yacanto, El Durazno.
A man was arrested on Tuesday in Cordova, accused of being responsible for causing the severe fires that plague the department of Calamuchita and other locations of the saws.
Prosecutor Paula del Lujan Bruerahead of the Investigation and First Shift Prosecutor’s Office of Río Tercero, ordered the arrest and indictment of an adult for the crime of aggravated negligent arson in Yacanto, El Durazno.
For the moment, the fire does not stop in Cordova and authorities evacuated a private neighborhood due to the uncontrolled progress of the fire, which has already affected almost seven thousand hectares.

While there are still three active outbreaks, difficult to extinguish due to the strong wind, there are around 200 firefighters working on the site. The government of Córdoba reported that “in the affected areas they are Fire stations, ETAC personnel and the Provincial Fire Management Plan deployed“.
According to local authorities, the flames have already reached homes in Villa Yacanto and El Duraznoand in the last few hours a private neighborhood was also evacuated.
Despite the worrying situation, in a more optimistic tone, from Córdoba they assured that thanks to the work of the firefighters, “The fires that broke out in Cosquín and Malagueño on Monday were contained.”
“Both are with very little activity, with unstable perimeters and under ash guard,” they said.
At the same time, they confirmed that for the moment There were no injuries or fatalities, but they did show concern for the animals that live in the area.
