Sadosky Enterprises presents “Eslabón”, a new program to support leading companies in the development of national suppliers in the IT industry with the participation of the scientific system.
In a global market characterized by constant innovation, large companies often face complex high-tech challenges for which they cannot find fully satisfying software solutions.
This new initiative of the Sadosky Foundation, which will be formally presented in a virtual talk on September 18 at 10 am, combines the strengths of the private sector and academia to propose that these needs be resolved through linkage projects between a research group and a SME or startup supplier company.
The call for applications is open until October 15, and interested companies must apply on the Sadosky Empresas website. After evaluating the presentations, the Foundation will design a proposal and an execution plan, and then identify and select the institutions with the potential to carry out the project.
“We know that our scientific system and the SME ecosystem can be part of this solution if the interests of all parties can be articulated and aligned. At the Sadosky Foundation, we have been working for several years with academic research centers throughout the country, companies in strategic sectors for the country’s development such as agriculture, health, food, mining, uniting these two worlds and SMEs, acting as “translators” between the languages of the business world and that of academia, carrying out very successful projects,” said the executive director of the institution, Fernando Schapachnik.
To develop these highly specialized scientific-technological linkage projects, the Sadosky Foundation has developed a management process with a mixed team work scheme, made up of researchers from renowned scientific institutions, specialized human resources provided by the SME or startup and the management of a Project Manager from said institution.
“While the SME and the scientific institution provide human resources and knowledge, the leading company provides the funds required for project management and the participation of the R&D group. As a result of each technological linkage project, the leading company obtains privileged access to a high-tech solution that solves one of its challenges, the SMEs develop a product that can be the basis for a new line of business, and the Scientific-Technological System carries out innovative activities to contribute to the economic development of our country,” concluded Ricardo Medel, director of the Technological Linkage area of the Foundation.
