“Living legends”, people who are on the sports field almost every day, and those who lead training sessions even with crutches – they were the focus of attention on Thursday at the “Thank you” gala in the Olympic Center on the Gugl. Normally, the 200,000 volunteers of Upper Austria’s sports clubs work behind the scenes like in a theater and are responsible for ensuring that everything runs smoothly. “The spotlight is usually on others. Not so today,” says Thomas Arnoldner, deputy editor-in-chief of OÖNachrichten.
