The social security agency announced the new amounts of the Food Card for September 2024. Find out the details.
The National Social Security Administration (ANSES) The September payment calendar began, starting to settle the assets among its beneficiaries. Among the highlighted benefits is the Food Carda crucial benefit to ensure access to Basic Food Basket. In September 2024 the amount of This benefit exceeds $50,000, providing assistance to more than 3.8 million children across the country.
For the ninth month of the year, the amounts vary depending on the number of children in the family group. Families with one child will receive $52,250while those with two children and families with three or more children will receive higher amounts.. These amounts will be credited together with the earnings from other compatible benefits, according to the official ANSES payment schedule.

Who can access the Food Card
To access the Food Card, Beneficiaries do not have to complete any additional proceduressince the benefit is granted automatically along with other benefits. However, the requirements must be to be a beneficiary of:
- Universal Child Allowance (AUH)
- Pregnancy Allowance
- Non-contributory pension for mother of 7 children
New requirements for the ANSES Food Card
One of the most relevant changes in the Food Card plan is the expansion of the social group that can access the benefit. From now on, The age range for beneficiaries extends to 17 yearsinstead of the previous 14 years. The requirements to access the ANSES Food Card are the following:
- Universal Child Allowance: Beneficiaries with children up to 17 years of age inclusive.
- Universal Pregnancy Allowance for Social Protection: Pregnant women from 3 months onwards.
- Allowance for Children with Disabilities: People with disabled children, without age limit.
- Non-contributory pension for mother of 7 children: Mothers who receive this pension.
This change seeks to prioritize households with children, adolescents, pregnant women, parents of children with disabilities, and mothers with seven or more children, thus facilitating a greater reach of the benefit.

In September 2024, the amounts for the Food Card are distributed as follows:
- Families with one child: $52,250
- Families with two children: $81,936
- Families with three or more children: $108,062
These amounts will be credited on the corresponding dates according to the ANSES payment calendar.
