The “Styrian oak” has been committed to fighting climate change, promoting renewable energy and moving away from fossil fuels for years. In June of this year, he therefore took part in the Climate Initiative’s annual climate protection conference in Vienna’s Hofburg.
There, Klaus von Moltke, BMW plant manager, discussed the responsibility of companies for climate protection together with Federal Minister Leonore Gewessler and climate impact researcher Anders Levermann on the podium. The BMW Group is increasingly investing in e-mobility and stands for the circular economy, said von Moltke.
At the end of the conference, Schwarzenegger accepted an invitation from Moltke to visit the engine plant in Steyr. On Wednesday, the American-by-choice finally put his promise into practice. “BMW will be Mister Universe of electric motors,” predicts the five-time Mister Universe, which will bring great things to the company.
