Telecom, which is one of the 20 Argentine companies present on the NYSE, cIt began trading in the US market with its initial public offering on December 9, 1994. In addition, it is the only one in the technological field that complies three consecutive decades presence in this market.
The company’s CEO, Roberto Nobile and the CFO, Gabriel Blasiwere together with other executives to commemorate the longevity of the New York Stock Exchange. From Telecom they announced that the ”anniversary symbolizes a crucial moment for Telecomas it shows the financial health of the company, as well as the confidence of its investors, in a highly competitive and constantly evolving environment, and that “Telecom’s sustained presence in international markets demonstrates the transparency of its operations and consolidates its role as a key player in the digital industry”.
The company has been transforming its core traditional telco business to become a digital hub, incorporating solutions based on connectivity, entertainment, cybersecurity, Fintech, and IoT. These solutions now transcend Argentina’s borders to extend to the entire region, driving new business paradigms within the framework of global initiatives such as Open Gateway.
The company has maintained a robust investment plan, over US$6 billion in the last seven yearsaimed at modernizing its infrastructure, the backbone of its digital transformation. By 2024, an investment of approximately US$500 million additionalreaffirming that Telecom is one of the companies that invests the most in infrastructure in the country.
In this context, both Nobile and Blasi made statements. The CEO commented: “Celebrating 30 years of listing on the New York Stock Exchange is an immense pride and recognition of Telecom’s leadership. As part of its anniversary at the NYSE, Telecom had the opportunity to meet with financial analysts from international markets, in order to present its business strategy. Roberto Nobile shared the guidelines that place Telecom at the forefront of Argentine technology companies.
