What is the Quiniela?
La Quiniela is the most popular game of chance in Argentina. Organized and controlled by the lotteries of each province. The Quiniela is a banked game, that is, it does not have a prize pool, but these are determined based on the bettors’ successes.
In general, each province implements what they call “banking cap”, the banking cap is set by each entity and is used to prorate payments when the amount of prizes to be paid exceeds said cap.
The draws include 20 4-digit numbers (from 0000 to 9999), distributed among 20 prizes. They are made with five rolling machines (manual or automatic). The first block indicates the unit of a thousand, the second the hundred, the third the ten, the fourth the unit and the last the location of the statement.
How do you play Quiniela?
The bettor must go to the nearest Lottery Agency and load their bet. It is necessary to remember that these close 10 minutes before the draw on weekdays and 15 minutes before on weekends. The game consists of choosing a number of 1 to 4 figures between 0000 and 9999, the starting position from 1 to 20 and the extract of the Lottery on which you want to bet (first, morning, afternoon or night). The different ways to play are the following:
- Exact direct bet: is one that is placed on a 1, 2, 3 or 4-digit number at a single, specific location within the extract of the 20 prizes.
- Direct bet by extension: it is one that is made on a number of 1, 2, 3 or 4 figures and where the bettor specifies a range of locations (length greater than 1). Examples of accepted ranges are the following: from 1 to 5, from 1 to 10, from 1 to 20, from 5 to 10, etc.
- Exact redouble bet: it is one that is made on 2 2-digit numbers at 2 specific locations on the statement, chosen from among the 20 numbers that make up the pool of the selected jurisdiction.
- Redoubled bets by extension: are those that are made on 2 2-digit numbers between any location chosen within the 20 prizes of the extract of the selected jurisdiction.
If the bet is a winner, it can be multiplied seven, seventy, six hundred or three thousand five hundred times, depending on the variant used.
How is the draw for the National and Provincial Pools carried out?
The drawing of the numbers is carried out in the Lottery rooms of the City of Buenos Aires – for the Federal Capital – and in the Lottery Rooms of the Province – for Buenos Aires.
To carry out the draw, four rolls are used that will make up the different numbers. The first corresponds to the thousand, the second to the hundred, the third to the ten and the fourth to the unit.
Each of the aforementioned balls has ten balls (with numbers from 0 to 9), and a fifth ball, which will make up the different locations on the board, that is, it will have twenty balls from 1 to 20, which correspond to the twenty positions. of the board.
How many draws are there per day and what are the times?
The Quiniela draws are held four times a day:
- La Preview (at 10).
- The First (at 12).
- La Matutina (at 3pm).
- La Vespertina (at 5:30 p.m.).
- La Nocturna (at 9 p.m.).
