Deputies gave half sanction this Tuesday to the project for the regularization of the legitimate possession of weapons and the extension of the National Voluntary Surrender of Firearms Program. The initiative received 142 votes in favorunited between the ruling party and the dialogue opposition, while Unión por la Patria (with the exception of Ana Aubone who abstained). A half penalty was also given to the Anti-mafia law.
What was voted on Tuesday was the modification of Law 26,216 on Firearms which, according to the Government, incorporates a more agile and simple procedure for the regularization of the legitimate possession of weapons through a declaration that can be made virtually.
With the sanction of this law, any person who renews his Legitimate User Credential Within the 90 days prior to expiration, you will not have to prove again the suitability of its handling at the National Agency for Controlled Materials (ANMaC).
