What happened to Luis Salom, the motorcyclist who suffered an accident in the middle of the competition?

On June 3, 2016, the native of Palma de Mallorca24 years old, crashed in turn 12 of the Montmeló Circuit during a Moto2 training session. Without a doubt, his career promised much more, but his destiny was cut short that fateful day.

The International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) deeply mourned his death, and the global motorcycling community expressed its sorrow. The tragedy served as a call to improve safety conditions on the tracks, especially at critical points such as Turn 12 at Montmeló, which has since been redesigned.
