The accident occurred near the town of “Altenhaus”. According to the Wartberg ob der Aist volunteer fire department, a car may have crossed the middle of the road and collided with an oncoming vehicle. A motorcyclist who was driving behind the car was unable to get out of the way in time and crashed into one of the vehicles.
The motorcycle driver was seriously injured and, after receiving first aid, was taken to the accident hospital in Linz in the “Christophorus 10” emergency medical helicopter. Two other people were injured and taken to the UKH by ambulance.

The B123 was closed for two hours and the police set up a local diversion. The fire department’s emergency services cleaned the road.
