With the 36-hour strike of the state ATE which began this Tuesday, the Government will face three days of union protests, with forceful measures that will peak tomorrow with the cessation of activities of the guilds of the Transportation Tableand that will continue on Thursday with a day without buses, if it is not possible to unblock the joint conflict.
Wednesday will be the strike that will have the greatest reach and impact, since there will be no train, subway, truck or air and sea transportation service throughout the day, a fact that will have a different impact on each of the activities. Only the bus lines controlled by the UTA union, which did not join the strike, will circulate. National Transportation Board due to the historical differences between its leader, Roberto Fernández, and the Moyano. However, some AMBA bus lines whose drivers are not listed in Fernández could adhere to Wednesday’s measure and not Thursday’s.
Wednesday’s measure of force was promoted by Moyanismo, which controls one of the two entities that make up the National Transportation Board, the Argentine Confederation of Transport Workers (CATT). Also this Wednesday there will be a strike by AFIP and Customs workers “in rejection of the 3,100 layoffs that Milei is trying to make and the impossibility of speaking with the head of the new organization, Florencia Misrahi,” union sources said.
Meanwhile, on Thursday it will be the turn of the UTA bus drivers, who will make their own measurements throughout that day because they did not reach a salary agreement. This Monday, Fernández’s union held a meeting with the chambers of the sector but they did not reach an agreement. However, this Wednesday there will be a new meeting between the union and the business chambers, promoted by the government of Javier Milei, to try to have the measure lifted.

ATE strike
The State Workers Association (ATE) This Tuesday there will be a 36-hour strike throughout the public administration and at 12 noon a mobilization will take place at the Ministry of Deregulation and Transformation of the State led by Federico Sturzenegger.
The concentration will be at the Obelisk, and from there the workers will march towards the headquarters of that ministry on Avenida Roque Sáenz Peña 788, in a measure of force that will last throughout Wednesday, to coincide with the transport strike.
“In the State there are unionists who campaign for resignation and fear in the work sectors. They destroy our salaries, they throw us out like dogs, they want to sell all the State’s properties. When are they going to stop if they don’t stop now? When are they going to stop? march if they don’t march now?” said Rodolfo Aguiar, general secretary of ATE.
Furthermore, he indicated that “the only way to prevent the State from being usurped by large business groups is to be on the streets. People are beginning to become aware of the scam. They lied to them, there was no ‘gnocchi’ or an oversized State “This Government protects and embraces the caste.”
From the union they indicated that the measure of strength arises from the loss of purchasing power in the national State, which already exceeds 34% during Javier Milei’s administrationadded to the Government’s intention to freeze salaries for the remainder of the year.
Given this situation, the union demands the immediate reopening of the joint ventures and an increase that will allow salaries to be recomposed. The union also demands an end to layoffs in the public sector and the immediate reinstatement of all those unlawfully laid off.
“The recent announcements by the Executive add to the reasons for the protest of the state: the falsehood of the intimations to retire to the workers – something that already existed -; the lie of the hereditary public positions and the threat of alienating more than 300 State real estate. The rejection of the privatization of state companies and the emptying of organizations such as the one recently announced in AFIP also motivates the claim,” he concluded.
