“We leave bureaucracy behind to give you more freedom and ease in your daily life,” said the Minister of Justice.

The Minister of Justice, Mariano Cúneo Libarona, announced that “From now on, with the Mi Argentina application you can authorize whoever you want to drive your vehicle in seconds, at no cost and 100% digital”. Furthermore, he stated that “the Blue Card is history and so is the bureaucracy that supported it.”

The minister explained that, under the previous regime, citizens faced “shifts that never showed up, hours waiting at the Registry and days of delay for them to give you a simple document”. He stressed that this new measure is “simpler, faster and at no cost to good Argentines.”

Cúneo Libarona also stressed that “This is a service that automotive registries provided” and added “I am the number 1 enemy of the Registries, they hate me, they operate on me. “The business is over.” Likewise, he maintained that “we are cutting this network of negotiations, we have already closed 165 records,” since they represent “another huge box of politics that we are dismantling.”

The minister concluded with a message to all Argentines: “We left bureaucracy behind to give you more freedom and ease in your daily life” and added “it was President Milei’s commitment to society and we are doing it.”

After more than six months since its announcement, the Government confirmed that the authorization for a additional driver drive a vehicle will be carried out through the App My Argentinareplacing the blue card which stopped airing in May.

It is worth pointing out that since resolution 29/2024, around 1,500,000 vehicle purchase and transfer operations, including 220,000 new cars, 830,000 used cars, 215,000 new motorcycles and 210,000 used motorcycles. However, until now, the owners of these vehicles have not been able to authorize other drivers to use them.
