Thousands of retirees throughout the country have been marching since midday in front of the PAMI headquarters to demand the Government’s measure to cut the delivery of free medicines. The epicenter of the protests takes place in CABA at the social work headquarters, located at 600 Corrientes Avenue, and was called by the organization Jubilados Insurgentes for “the Immediate restitution of all canceled medications for this government that condemned to hunger and misery to the entire working class, and to the genocide of retirees,” as detailed in the official statement.
In detail, the Government’s measure from now on, only those affiliates who earn less than $389,398 (equivalent to 1.5 minimum pension benefits)and to do so, they must register online. Jujuy, La Plata, Caleta Olivia (Santa Cruz), Rosario, Bariloche, Córdoba and Mar del Plata are some of the places with mobilizations.
Retirees protest at PAMI headquarters against the reduction of free medicines

Who can access free PAMI medications in December
After the modifications, the conditions for accessing the social subsidy are as follows:
- Have income less than 1.5 pension benefits, equivalent to $388,500or up to 3 assets in the event that the member lives with a person who has a Single Certificate of Disability (CUD).
- Not be affiliated with a prepaid.
- Not have more than one property, a vehicle less than 10 years old, or be the owner of luxury goods.
- Not be the owner of corporate assets that indicate full economic capacity.

How to access free medication
