Jim Carrey has an idea of how he can repeat his role as The Grinch after starring in the 2000 film.
In a new interview, Carrey says he would like to play the character created by Dr. Seuss again, but with an important change.
“Oh, God, you know, if we could figure out the Grinch,” Carrey told ComicBook when asked which character he would like to play again. “What happens is that, on the day of the movie, I do it with a lot of makeup and I can hardly breathe. It was an extremely excruciating process.”.
He continued: “The kids were on my mind all the time. ‘It’s for the children. It’s for the children. It’s for the children.’ And now, with motion capture and things like that, I might be free to do other things. “Everything is possible in this world.”
Jim Carrey returns to acting with Sonic 3
A villain character that Carrey will reprise is Doctor Robotnik for sonic 3, which opens in US theaters on December 20. During the film’s UK premiere, Carrey joked about the reason he returned for the third installment of the franchise.
“I came back to this universe because, first of all, I get to play a genius, which is a bit of a stretch. And, you know, it’s just… CI bought a lot of things and I need the moneyfrankly. Yes,” Carrey told the Associated Press.
In Sonic 3, Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles face a mysterious adversary known as Shadow the Hedgehog and are forced to form an unlikely alliance with the villainous Dr. Robotnik.
The voice cast includes Ben Schwartz like sonic, Colleen O’Shaughnessey like Tails, Idris Elba like Knuckles and Keanu Reeves Like Shadow. Live-action actors include Carrey, James Marsden, Tika Sumpter, Krysten Ritter, Natasha Rothwell, Lee Majdoub, Tom Butler, Adam Pally, Shemar Moore and Alyla Browne.
