The Air Line Pilots Association (APLA) warned this Thursday that it could take forceful measures due to the delay in the reopening of the joint negotiations of Aerolíneas Argentinas and Optar. They accuse companies of “violating trust” and pushing them into “a new conflict.”
As stated APLA In a statement, the authorities of both public companies refused to reopen joint negotiations in January, as had been agreed last month. “It is evident that on the company side there is a need to promote the conflict,” they denounced.
This non-compliance, they assure from APLAviolates “the trust and good faith between the parties, which implies leading us to a new conflict, which we have already been through for a short time and we know the consequences.”

They ensure that the workers have shown good faith in complying with what was agreed and responsibility in their daily tasks. Proof of this is “the record number of passengers transported in the summer season.”
This delay is for APLA a “disconsideration” towards the workers. “We request no more delays and address the salary negotiation as soon as possible”they close in the statement.
