Preparations for the state garden show in Schärding go into the final phase

After a start -up time of more than two years, the preparations for Andrea Berghammer, managing director of Landesgartenschau GmbH, and her team go into the final phase. On Friday, April 25th, the state garden show will be officially opened under the motto “Innsgrün”.

The garden show area is now taking shape, the anticipation that the large area around the city center of Schärding will soon bloom in a full flower and color splendor. “Thanks to the committed and professional work of everyone involved, we are fully on schedule when completing the site. That gives us a very good feeling,” says Berghammer.

Because there is still a lot to do. In particular, intensive work will occur in the coming weeks. Already in autumn, 92,000 flower bulbs and more than 12,000 perennials were set, and around 70,000 spring plants will follow by mid -March. In addition, according to Berghammer, the majority of the more than 600 trees and trees have already been planted. The infrastructure work around the site is also in full corridor. Two weeks ago, for example, construction work for 400 temporary parking spaces in the Grün Valley started. The fairground has already been built in the area of ​​the TGZ. This means that more than 100 additional parking spaces in Schärding will be available in the subsequent use.
