Who could move into the National Council for the ministers

If the first black-red-pink government is standing, the clubs in parliament are also mixed through. Because several of the future ministers and state secretaries currently have a mandate that they will cover with the change to the government.

A particularly large number of people could be affected in the ÖVP. Wolfgang Hattmannsdorfer, Klaudia Tanner and Claudia Plakolm are currently sitting on federal mandates of the candidates for a government office. The quasi-logical successors would be Irene Neumann-Hartberger, Rudolf Taschner and Alexander Pröll.

Since the latter is under discussion for a state secretariat, Kira Grünberg could move up. At the latest when the Karoline Edtstadler changes to the Salzburg state government, Franz Hörl should come back to a mandate.

Neumann-Hartberger could of course also move into the National Council via the constituency of Lower Austria Süd and take over the mandate of the future Chancellor Christian Stocker. Then cable car lobbyist Hörl would be back in the National Council soon. However, it is more likely that Lukas will get the podium mandate in short, otherwise the Lower Austrians would give a seat.

A return could possibly arise for Friedrich Ofenauer if it is not otherwise rebuilt in Lower Austria. Because the state mandate of Interior Minister Gerhard Karner could also be released again. A Tyrolean comes to parliament for the first time. The lawyer Jakob Grüner will probably take over Norbert Tettschnig’s mandate on the state list.

Less changes in the SPÖ

Women’s boss Eva-Maria Holzleitner is considered a fixed starter in the government. Your Upper Austrian mandate will probably bring a comeback from Elisabeth Feichtinger. The federal mandate of party leader Andreas Babler becomes free. The first possible successor would be ex-State Secretary Muna Duzdar. However, since she is in discussion for a government office, Federal Managing Director Klaus RASHEIM could benefit.
