The premature April weather was part of a traffic accident on the West Autobahn near Oberwang (Vöcklabruck district) on Monday afternoon: Three vehicles were involved in a carambolage on the A1 in the direction of Vienna during a graypser shower, as the section fire brigade command Mondsee announced.

The fire brigades Innerschwand, Oberwang and Sankt Georgen in the Attergau were alerted at 3:17 p.m. under the keyword “People’s Rescue Traffic Accident Pkk”. On site, the emergency services found three damaged cars – including one lying on the roof. “The inmates were able to free themselves from the vehicles before the fire brigades arrived,” said operations manager Thomas Höllnsteiner. Two injuries had to be treated by paramedics of the Red Cross.
