A total of 450 high-performance diesel engines and spare parts with a total value of more than ten million euros from Steyr to India are to be delivered within three years. This was announced by the special engine manufacturer Steyr Motors via broadcast.
The contract with Ghatge Patil Industries (GPI)- a renowned manufacturer of precision-made components for the offshore, marine and energy industry- underlines India’s growing importance in Steyr Motors’ international business.

“According to China as well as adjacent countries and South America, one of the largest growth regions for the coming years and for Steyr Motors is an important market to expand the international presence. In our assessment, our activities in India will be noticeable in the figures in particular from 2027,” says Julian Cassutti, head of Steyr Motors.
