The young man from the Gmunden district had lost control of his car early on Sunday morning while driving on the B145. In a roundabout he came off the road, drove across a parking space and crashed against the facade of a supermarket with full force. The car was massively deformed both in the front and roof area and the handlebar was enclosed in the passenger compartment.
Neighbor called the rescue
A neighbor was woken up by the noise and informed the emergency services. At 4:16 a.m., the fire brigades Bad Goisern and St. Agatha moved out under the “Personal Rescue”. The helpers had to use a total of three hydraulic rescue devices with spreads, scissors, rescue cylinders and pedal cutters as well as a saber saw to free the injured from the accident wreck.
