More than 2100 active people in the 3-bridge run

The best conditions yesterday brought more than 2100 people into running in Linz.
One run, two winners: Philipp Obermüller and Dibo Ali were the fastest.

It was again a festival of movement to experience the Sunday morning in the area on the Danube between the Nibelungen Bridge, the new railway bridge and the Voest Bridge. More than 2100 runners practically all ages did not miss the opportunity to be active in the 36th Linz 3-bridge run. In the end, as usual, only winners and satisfied faces.

The running weather was perfect – according to the culture boss Wolfgang Pfeiffer, “typical 3 -bridge running weather” – and the atmosphere along the 5.5 kilometer route is perfect. That was motivation for the active as well as for the spectators along the route.

Among them were the organizers Kultur Hof with Managing Director Pfeiffer and Aloha Sports boss Stefan Leitner, who were more than satisfied with what they could see. “As always, it was wonderful to watch the many participants of all ages master how they master the route along the Danube together.”

A lot of applause for old and young

Starting and finish line were on the Danube region at the Brucknerhaus this year. The stage of the music pavilion served as an ideal backdrop for the subsequent award ceremony, in which the successes of the runners were given a lot of applause and celebrated.

As a run for the whole family and thus also for all age groups, the 3-bridge run advertises year after year. The 36th edition became more than fair to this image. Between Gottfried Hoser (at 86 years the oldest participant), who completed the 5.5 kilometers in 41 minutes, and Lukas Manzenreiter (3 years and youngest participants) were no less than 83 years. “This is exactly what makes the charm and the experience of our 3-bridge run. The organizational effort has definitely paid off for this,” says Kultur Hof-Obmann Michael Rosenmayr.

Hand in hand to the finish

With all the widespread effectiveness of the family running event, pace was also made. The fastest of this year’s 3-bridge run are Philipp Obermüller and Dibo Ali, the hand in hand in 18:11 minutes passed the finish line and thus shared the victory. Christian Hell came third.
