The presidential candidate of La Libertad Avanza (LLA), Javier Milei, once again put into debate the dollarization of Argentina as an alternative to a new economic paradigm. The idea is not new, but his project deeply affected public opinion in the face of the political change that is coming in the country with the elections.

Will the coming Argentina be a country without its own currency and tied to the monetary policy of the United States? How will it impact inflation and wages? Dollarization or bimonetarism? These are just some of the doubts that arise from a project that is still difficult to explain even to its authors.

Ambit called on economists to argue for and against the project, present its benefits, its negative effects, and its possible risks.
