Wall Street ended March on the rise, with a record for the S&P 500 index

The New York Stock Exchange showed a positive trend while waiting for key economic data and a long holiday weekend.

Wall Street interrupted a sequence of three sessions of decline by registering strong increases this Wednesday, with the S&P 500 setting a new record in a moderately active market before the Easter holiday.

The index Dow Jones rose 1.22%. The technological Nasdaq was located two points from its last maximum, with a rise of 0.51%, and the expanded S&P 500 beat a new record thanks to an advance of 0.86%, according to preliminary results.

The market awaits news from the FED and consumption data in the US

Investors eagerly await comments from the governor of the Federal Reserve Christopher Waller, who will speak at the Economic Club of New York later in the day. Additionally, the Personal Consumer Price Index (PCE), the Federal Reserve’s preferred inflation gauge, will be released on Good Friday, when the US stock market will be closed.
