AFIP establishes new tariff classifications for imported and exported merchandise

Companies that import or export merchandise must consult the resolution to determine the correct tariff classification of their products.

Through General Resolution 5511 issued by the General Directorate of Customsunder the orbit of the AFIP, in the Official Gazette this Monday, the tariff classification of certain merchandise in the MERCOSUR Common Nomenclature (NCM).

The official text maintains that the tariff classification was carried out in accordance with the procedure provided for by General Resolution No. 1,618 and the tariff classification of the goods is established in the Annex to the standard. Likewise, remember that the resolution comes into effect upon its publication in the Official Gazette.
