The story of Abby Kircher and the peanut butter with which she founded her multimillion-dollar company
Abby Kircher He was born in Orlando, Florida in 2000, but moved to Charlotte when he was 9 years old. He studied at home, and was always passionate about learning new things. His favorite subjects were English and history. He has 2 older brothers, Aaron and Elliot. It has a philosophy of perseverance: “If I fail 19 times, I will try 20”. He was always interested in the stories of people who built successful startups from nothing.
When she was 14 years old, she felt fat and dissatisfied with her body and health, so she decided to make a change not only in her diet, but in how she treated her body in general. One of his favorite foods was peanut butter.but he realized that in addition to peanuts and sugar he was eating a lot of fats and artificial sweeteners that were harmful to his health.
That’s how he decided to make his own butter. In the summer of 2015, after turning 15, he began mixing different types of nuts with natural sweeteners, such as fruit. In that way, produced 5 different butters: walnut, coconut, smooth walnut, honey and coffee.
After her friends told her that the butters were delicious, she told her mother that she was ready to start her venture. There he understood what the biggest challenge was when putting an idea into practice. Don’t get carried away by ambition, but start one step at a time.
But producing the food was not the only challenge. To professionalize the venture he had to research marketing, packaging, distribution and design. And finally, most importantly, hygienic conditions. He couldn’t produce food in a space with pets, and his family had a dog, so he had to rent a place.
Currently, Abby’s Better has 16 employees and is a profitable and growing small business. in Mooresville, North Carolina. Currently, its products are found in more than 1,500 stores throughout the North American country.
