Fassi, according to the ruling, violated the AFA statutes by not turning to the internal bodies of football before filing the complaint with the IGJ.
In addition to the sanction to the head of the Córdoba entity, the vice president of Talleres, Gustavo Gatti, also received a suspension, although in his case it will be six months.
The club, for its part, was reprimanded for the actions of its leaders.
The conflict between Fassi and the AFA has been escalating for some time, especially after Talleres’ defeat against Boca in the Argentine Cup, where Andrés Merlos’ refereeing was harshly criticized by the president of the Córdoba club.
The tense relationship between the Córdoba club and the AFA, already aggravated by previous differences, seems to be far from being resolved in the short term.
