“It is an honor that a Neuquén destination takes the name of the province to a global stageshowing the world what we are capable of offering,” said the Minister of Tourism of Neuquén, Gustavo Fernández Capiet.
The official recognized that Caviahue-Copahue stands out for its beauty with unique landscapes, hot springs and commitment to sustainable tourism.
“We already felt like winners being the eight towns selected from Argentina, but now with the prize in hand it is too important and I feel that opens doors to both the town and the province for more things”, he remarked.

Caviahue-Copahue is a small paradise located in the province of Neuquen. With the volcano that bears the same name, some of its attractions are the steam, hot water and thermal mud that partner to offer a climate of well-being to each person who visits.
Caviahue is a ideal environment for sports such as skiing and snowboardingwhile Copahue stands out for its hot springs. Among its natural attractions is the Salto del Agrioa 45 meter high waterfall.
Caviahue and Copahue are distinguished by the existence of pure forests of Araucaria araucana –known as pehuén- an ancient, sacred and mythical tree, capable of exceeding 800 years of age and more than 80 meters. Its seed, the pine nut, is used in regional cuisine and is protected by provincial laws.

Four Argentine towns are among the most beautiful in the world
The World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) recognized four locations in Argentina as the most beautiful in the world, for their sustainable practices and cultural wealth. They correspond to the provinces of Neuquén, Chubut and Córdoba.
The locations selected to be part of the 55 “Best Tourism Villages by UN Tourism 2024” representing Argentina are: Gaiman and Trevelín (Chubut), Caviahue-Copahue (Neuquén) and Villa Tulumba (Córdoba).
