Tolls are increasing again.
The Government made official increases in tolls on national routes and highways. As published in the Official Gazette, increases in Panamericana and Western Access tolls begin to take effect. In addition, there are increases in the National Road Corridor No. 18 and the National Road Corridor – Sections I to X.
It did so through three resolutions published this Friday in the Official Gazette. In this way, the Resolution 1203/2024 approved a increase in toll rates of the North and West accesses to the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, so drivers who use these accesses will have to pay more for each trip.
For its part, the Resolution 1205/2024 approved an increase in toll rates for Road Corridor No. 18 and the Resolution 1207/2024 does the same for the tolls of the National Road Corridors (Sections I to X) under concession of Corredores Viales SA, in addition to formalizing the administrative procedures necessary for their implementation and publication.
The official text recalls that “the tariff update is based on a temporary methodology of monthly variation. This mechanism is used whenever the cost variations are less than the established contractual limits and, “in this case, there were no objections to the tariff revision presented by Corredores Viales SA”.
Finally, it highlights “the interest in guaranteeing the quality of the road service and the protection of the rights of users, in accordance with Article 42 of the National Constitution.”
The new values
In the annexes to the three resolutions, the new tariff tables were published for each of the sections that will be affected by the new increase.
According to the document, the Government gives way to the rate increase that will begin to be applied to from two consecutive days, in at least the main journalistic media in the area of influence, prior to its application. The rate change covers different categories of vehicles, payment methods and hours at toll stations.
It should be remembered that this update comes just over a month after a new increase, at least for the North Access and West Access tolls.
The tariff table for the North and West Accesses includes different payment methods and rates for different types of vehicles, segmented by schedule. Peak hours are established from Monday to Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.n both directions. On Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, the schedules are different depending on the direction of traffic.
