Antonio Benítez’s defense lawyer presented the request before federal judge Cristina Pozzer Penzo.
Antonio Benitez, Loan Peña’s uncle-in-law who is detained for the disappearance of the Corrientes child, He appealed the prosecution for the alleged abduction and concealment of the five-year-old child.
According to the Agency NA, Ricardo Osunadefense of the accused, presented the request before the federal judge Cristina Pozzer Penzo. Furthermore, he confirmed that the other defenders had made the same request.
On December 4, Goya’s Justice prosecuted the seven defendants who has the case for the disappearance of Loan Peña in Corrientes, after the request of prosecutors. Thus, it was resolved that everyone remain imprisoned.
In accordance with Resolution No. 661/2024, the judge announced that “it is necessary to resolve the procedural situation of the following people currently suspected of being detained: that Antonio Benítez, Daniel “Fierrito” Ramírez, Mónica Millapi, Laudelina Peña, María Victoria Caillava, Carlos Pérez and Walter Maciel”.
Loan Case: Justice benefited one of the accused with house arrest
After Justice identified former commissioner Walter Maciel as the kidnapper of Loan Peña, and prosecuted all the accused, he was granted house arrest for Mónica Millapi. The request was made by the accused, due to her cohabitation with her children. However, the minor’s family is expected to appeal against the measure.
