Complaint for gender violence: Alberto Fernández’s defense requested that the case be transferred to the Buenos Aires jurisdiction

The defense of former president Alberto Fernández asked this Tuesday that The case of gender violence against Fabiola Yañez passes to the Buenos Aires jurisdiction. Tomorrow, Wednesday, he is summoned to testify before federal judge Julián Ercolini.

In the brief presented by Fernández’s lawyer, Silvina Carreirastated that the facts reported are “contraventions of mistreatment and harassment of the Contravention Code of said jurisdiction” and, therefore, it corresponds to the Contraventional Criminal jurisdiction of the Federal Capital.

Currently, the case is being carried out in Comodoro Py, in the court in charge of Julián Ercolini, who already rejected other claims of incompetence at the beginning of the case. This proposal does not jeopardize the investigative statement of former President Alberto Fernández scheduled for Wednesday at 11.

It will be the second investigation of the former president since he left power on December 10, 2023.
