The Argentine organizing body divided the thirty teams of the first division into two zones: A and B. They are made up of fifteen different entities on each side.
In the first semester of the competition, the teams will play fourteen games against rivals from the same group and one game against an opponent from the other zone, the classic rival or their pairing that will serve as such.
Regarding the definitions of the 2025 League Cup, they were added as a first instance to the round of 16, which will take place in the stadium that has the best classification in the area table.
In addition, the quarterfinals and semifinals will be held in the stadiums that have the best performance in the table. But, the final will be organized on a neutral court.
Boca and Racing make up Zone A. Therefore, they will face each other during the first part of the local competition. A confrontation between two teams that make up the list of the so-called “Big Five” of Argentine soccer.
On the other hand, River Plate, Independiente de Avellaneda and San Lorenzo are part of Zone B and will recommend three matches that are considered classics. In the same group will be Vélez, the last Argentine soccer champion, while Central Córdoba, winner of the Argentine Cup, was organized in A.

All dates will have an interzonal match that will be the classic. The fact that everyone wants to know: Boca and River will play on April 27 at the Monumental, within the framework of matchday 15.
