essential is a company specialized in the production and marketing of biofuels first and second generation, as well as raw materials of plant and animal origin. Essential owns in the north of Santa Fe a bioethanol distillery which was reactivated in 2009, after 27 years of interruption. It is a plant with Zanini technology from Brazilian origin that produces bioethanol, from sugar cane molasses, and has a projected production of 100,000 liters of anhydrous ethanol per day, which is equivalent to 30 million liters per year in 300 work days. .
Biorefinery
In the distillery of the General Obligado Department, Essential obtains vinasse from the distillation of molasses. But if they use cereal in the production of vinasse, after dehydration a moist solid product is obtained: burlada, which contains fibers and nutrients and is used for animal feed.
“This strategic alliance is part of the continuous review process of YPF’s portfolio promoted in its 4×4 Plan and implemented in 2024, which simultaneously prioritizes sustainability, profitability and value creation,” they stressed.
