In addition, he noted that the number of 350 charging stations for electric vehicles was reached on routes throughout the national territory.
“We are taking steps to continue facilitating the electric mobility, it is expected that Uruguay By the end of this year, we will already have 9,000 electric vehicles circulating on all national routes, which is why we are preparing the infrastructure. We have made a significant investment of around 6 million dollars to promote electric mobility, and at this time there is growth and we monitor those points where it is necessary to install more chargers, we are doing it to facilitate everything that is this use that is key, not only for the economic impact of the use of electric mobility, but also for sustainability,” explained the president of UTE.
Almost 100% of home electrification
Finally, Emaldi highlighted what could be one of the most important achievements of the administration: the regularization and electrification of all homes in Uruguay.
“We have reached a goal that we had established in this period: regularize 50,000 households in vulnerable contexts. We are only 200 homes away from electrifying 100% of the country, there are 4,600 homes in the deep interior of the hauls that we have electrified,” he noted.
“We have the last 200 left that, between now and February, we will be complying with what was said that Uruguay “It will be 100% electrified at the end of this administration,” concluded the president of UTE.
