During 2021 I attended an International Real Estate Congress and in a talk with a Canadian about our market, I tried to explain how it worked, it was impossible!
Despite all these complexities, we can see what could happen in this last quarter of the year. Statistics always show us that trade quantity level is the strongest -in fact, generally 35% of the total volume of the year is made in these months-. But for this to happen, two fundamental things should happen that have a strong impact on the purchase/sale of properties:
1- That the dollar does not have any fright. The exchange rate of 220 is in the past, today the market settled on a blue dollar of 290, and if this continues in the same way until the end of December, the market will be moved.
2- The political aspect, a thorny issue: that the government does not make any sudden movement, which generates greater uncertainty in the population.
If these two factors remain the same way they are, until the end of this busy year that has been this 2022, I have no doubt that the volume of operations will have a significant rebound, which would give the country some oxygen . Let’s not forget that the real estate sector and the construction sector -which work simultaneously- are a very large engine of the Argentine economy.
