Will 2023 be the year of changes for the national industry?

Although there is a political consensus to reach an agreement aimed at strengthening the interactions between the public, the academic and the private, the building of trust is a slow and progressive process.

And, although there are many success stories that reflect a change in order that is taking place, this does not imply minimizing the specific threats that persecute industrialists: lack of talent, drought, inflation, rates, imports, poverty, debt, energy, among others.

Any industrial process intended to supply the demand for consumption and well-being is very negatively affected, but with a sustained demand for production destined for agriculture, energy and the external market. And, although the industrial sector has different realities, they are all tinged in black due to the lack of imported inputs.

However, I am convinced that this 2023 will be the year of the gestation of industrial change, where the entire sector will begin to be guided for the supply of strategic value chains; agriculture, food and energy, in addition to the punished consumer industry, which leads when it comes to measuring employment.

If we compare November 2022 with October of the same year, the automotive industry produced 52,415 units in 19 working days, which implies an increase of 1.8 percent. But, so far this year, 499,774 vehicles were produced, that is, it is 26.6% more than in 2021, with the export figure being approximately 300,000 units -between January and November-, which implies 25% more than that same year, according to the Association of Argentine Automotive Manufacturers.

In 2023 we have, then, the opportunity to set the conditions for a qualitative and quantitative takeoff of our national industry based on its different realities and competencies, to build confidence from the change of order. It is the challenge to which we are going to be exposed and, based on this, the investments of our citizens and SMEs will pleasantly surprise us.
