More courage is good
Grey, dark blue, black: the business look was so achromatic for a long time. Many people also choose classic colors in their private lives. Appearing serious or intellectual is often the premise. But if you jump over your shadow and decide on a bright blue blazer or a pink dress, you may be surprised by the feedback: Because the reaction to a colored outfit is almost always positive. It doesn’t have to be the whole rainbow. And if the color is chosen successfully, clothing and mood play ping-pong: Because color expresses mood and improves it at the same time. Anyone who is afraid of not appearing serious enough: Neither with the late Queen nor with Angela Merkel – two gifted Bunt wearers – was that ever a problem.
Subtle is better
You don’t have to be an architect or an artist to like black or dark blue – some colors always work, no matter the mood. With brightly colored shirts or trousers, on the other hand, as a man it is easy to make a mistake – and colleagues have a topic of conversation. That might brighten their mood. So rather well camouflaged in a uniform look than overly exhibitionist. This has style and can even attract more attention. Because many successful people always wear the same thing – that’s how you recognize them: Karl Lagerfeld in a black suit, sunglasses and white gloves, Apple founder Steve Jobs in a black turtleneck sweater. Even Vogue boss Anna Wintour remains true to her look. Actually – remarkably – clever.
