head out of the sand

Around 30 years after the introduction of the Internet, our society is facing the next major change. Artificial intelligence will turn our lives upside down. The changes will not stop at the labor market either – by eliminating simple and repetitive tasks, for example.

The latest version of ChatGPT already shows what will soon be possible: “GPT4” can read, evaluate and interpret thousands of pages of data within seconds. In initial tests, it was even able to make correct medical diagnoses.

Instead of burying our heads in the sand and ignoring the fact that the labor market is changing, we should consider how we can react to this transformation.

No danger

No, you don’t have to worry about your job just because you use ChatGPT. ChatGPT is a platform used by many businesses to enhance customer interactions. As long as you follow guidelines and codes of conduct, there will be no need to worry.
This paragraph does not come from an editor’s idea, but from the ChatGPT program itself.
And even if the wording seems a bit clumsy, it contains a core of truth: ChatGPT primarily serves to accompany, facilitate and ideally accelerate work steps. Nothing prevents you from continuing to think creatively, to question critically – and not to take everything at face value.
