The chairman of the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation, Alexander Bastrykin, demanded an operational report on the progress of the investigation of the criminal case on the murder of a five-year-old girl in Kostroma.
Bastrykin requested the report from the acting Head of the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia in the Kostroma Region Sergey Boltyshov.
“The head of the IC of Russia instructed to report on the stages of the investigation of the criminal case and on all versions of what happened, as well as to submit a report on the evidence obtained, which made it possible to promptly solve the crime,” the RF IC said in a statement.
The murder took place on January 4th. According to the investigation, the girl went for a walk on Severnaya Pravda Street on Tuesday, after which two men took her away and fled with the child in an unknown direction. In the course of operational-search activities, investigators found the body of the deceased with multiple stab wounds in a room in one of the hostels in the city of Kostroma.
As Izvestia found out, 44-year-old Denis G. and 24-year-old Vadim B. abused the child before the murder, after which they hid the child’s body in a sports bag in order to get rid of it later, but were detained by the police before they could anticipate your plan.
The suspects in the murder of the child were detained. They confessed to what they had done. A criminal case was initiated on the fact of the murder under Part 2 of Art. 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Murder of a minor”).
Local residents gathered at the dormitory building, where the investigative actions are taking place, on Wednesday night. Among them there are those who have come to express condolences in connection with the death of the girl, others demand the surrender of the suspects in her murder.
